Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was founded 75 years ago which makes it as one of the most primitive and reputable faculties in Iran and the Middle East . The Faculty presents an undergraduate study which is recognized by the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and takes 6-years long study, 2 master degrees in Parasitology and Mycology, and 21 postgraduate courses includes 13 residencies (Anatomy, Physiology, Parasitology, Pathology, Food Hygiene, Clinical Pathology, Large Animal Internal Medicine, Small Animal Internal Medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Avian Medicine, Theriogenology, and Epidemiology), and 8 PhD programs (Aquaculture Medicine, Mycology, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Toxicology, Virology, Bacteriology, and Immunology).

There are more than 100 specialized academic staffs work in the faculty who are professor and associated professor in majority. Low ratio of academic staffs to the students has made a friendly relation among them and caused scientific and educational progress in the students.

Plenty amounts of general and specialty laboratories prepared by new and sufficient equipments and expert staffs can be great helps in researches.
